Today is the first day of my summer vacation! I was thrilled to sleep in this morning and then spend an extra hour curled up with a book. I plan to be a homebody for a few days and then see what summer brings. 

Checking back in with some kitchen snapshots from this evening. I had salad for dinner and collected most of the ingredients in my own backyard.

Pretty nice Monday today but I can't help the countdown to summer that keeps playing in my head. Above are shots of some of my arts & crafts books including an old polaroid of my cousin Jen and I ( I'm on the right). At the very top are the newest additions to my glassware collection found at a garage sale last week. I ponder adding these vintage inspired glasses some day too, and these, and these.

Tonight I dug ground for my sprouting scarlet runners and picked this bouquet. Oh how I love evening gardening especially with the lovely (record breaking) temperatures we've been experiencing.
