Hi. I've been spending my days printing, sewing and ironing and now I'm almost ready for this year's Noel Bazaar. Starts tomorrow at 5, try to stop by if you're around.

It's been a while since my last check in but I've been working away here in my living room. I've completed many a pincushion and hanky. Now teatowels...

We had a quick trip up island this weekend and I'm pleased to say my new boots kept me warm and cozy in the wet weather. We also got to some great thrift stores so I'll share pics of some of my loot soon.

I've had my gocco out this week printing cards and gift tags. I'm pleased with the results but wish I'd started in the warmer months. The gocco inks are old school stinky so lots of airing is required keeping our drafty apartment even cooler. Now I must get to work on hankies and tea towels, I might experiment with some block printing this year. I promise to check in here again soon.

hi blog. I haven't paid you much attention this month but the evenings are getting cooler and I'm spending more time indoors and closer to you. horse+radish is one year old today so I thought I'd pop in before heading to bed. I've been busy soaking up my last days of vacation enjoying late summer produce, sewing here and there and visiting with friends.

Really lovely day today. Family of good friends hosted a bridal shower in my garden.

More time at the beach yesterday and another sweet movie, post-it love.

While my 'To do' list has been left unattended I've been enjoying the lake with friends. Yesterday was too warm in our upstairs apartment so a swim followed by ice cream was a great relief. I wanted to get a better shot of these huge ice cream scoops but they were melting before we left the shop.

Urban Weeds, a new to me street style blog from Portland, Oregon has led me (via this woman specifically) to a new shoe craving from Worishofer. I'd like to see if I can get them locally before I search them out on the web.

I've just returned from a very relaxing weekend with friends and a pool, I am a little pink but quite content. I have one link to share and then I'm moving away from the computer. Lot's of weddings are happening around us this summer so I guess I have them on the brain. I saw this video from x+rey this morning and think that it's the sweetest. 

I keep running into these great crafty necklaces. With their colourful handmade vibe they give me the feeling of summer.

I'm loving this season's photo shoot over at Wovenplay. This children's costume/clothing line is beautifully designed and handmade, I'd love a pair of the ribbon leggings for myself.

Today is the first day of my summer vacation! I was thrilled to sleep in this morning and then spend an extra hour curled up with a book. I plan to be a homebody for a few days and then see what summer brings. 

Checking back in with some kitchen snapshots from this evening. I had salad for dinner and collected most of the ingredients in my own backyard.

Pretty nice Monday today but I can't help the countdown to summer that keeps playing in my head. Above are shots of some of my arts & crafts books including an old polaroid of my cousin Jen and I ( I'm on the right). At the very top are the newest additions to my glassware collection found at a garage sale last week. I ponder adding these vintage inspired glasses some day too, and these, and these.
