Restful weekend.

Excited to be going to a friends film today, Melting Lands. Not much else on the agenda but dish washing and telephone chatting.

A new week is under way and I'm looking forward to some visits with girlfriends. Today I'm enjoying art in the realm of fashion. Maybe soon I'll take the leap from plain ponytail to some version of the above hairstyle.

While it's warmed up considerably there is still a chill in our old house at night. Lots of roasting at mealtimes and a growing attraction to soups. I'm also drawn to warm lounge wear and watching movies with my guy. Last night we saw Wristcutters: a love story. I loved this story, and so many of the characters. Making valentine hankies is on my mind now too, I've thought of this for a couple of years and I'm hoping that writing it here will prompt me to do more. I'll let you know.

Thought about my Mom a lot today. On opposite sides of a very large country while she was in surgery but all sounds good and she's now happy and resting at my big brothers. Tomorrow I'm looking forward to a visit with Meaghan from Trapper Jane. I'm going to try these on for size, I can't wait.

Tonight some decorations are going back into storage along with wrapping supplies.

Happy New Year! I've spent most of my holiday away from this space but am now thinking on some ideas that will keep me posting more regularly. Let's see. For now I'm enjoying the day's light and drinking coffee with my husband.
